Appearance: Colorless powdery crystal.

Stability: stable to sunlight. Water hydrolyses fenbutatin oxide to tris-(2-methyl-2-phmylpropyl)tin hydroxide; this in reconverted to the parent compound slowly at room temperature and rapidly at 98°C.
